With extra touches to the interior, we assure that no one on board for the festive jolly will end up feeling cramped.

There are a pair of peppermint and holly-friendly engine choices to think about as you are planning for your New Year’s vehicle dreams to come true. Beginning with the 137-horsepower 1.2-Liter and finishing with the 155-horsepower 1.3-liter at the top, both options boast standard front-wheel drive. The higher-powered 1.3-liter is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and offers the choice of all-wheel drive. The Herald.net drive testing team drove an RS equipped with the 1.3-liter engine and all-wheel drive, which sits at the top of the selection of LS, LT, and Active trims.

There are plenty of great standard features included on the RS, with the Technology Package coming in with a sizzle, packed with its extra stocking stuffers. Among these are the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7-speaker Bose premium audio, wireless device charging, adaptive cruise control, and LED headlamps that made the testing crew’s night drive seamless and thrilling. Extra passengers joining you for Holiday activities receive a generous 39.4 inches of rear seat legroom and the Trailblazer offers 25.3 cubic feet of the cargo area to load with presents.

EPA ratings for the RS model with the 155-horsepower engine and all-wheel drive reside at 28 mpg combined, with several mph higher for the 137-horsepower engine equipped with front-wheel drive. As an added touch, you can choose from new paint colors such as Nitro Yellow Metallic, Sterling Grey Metallic, and Fountain Blue. Edmunds.com claimed after test drives of their own that the 2023 Trailblazer is “exceedingly competent at everything it does”, and easily maintains itself positioned a half-step ahead within its increasingly competitive class.

They had the privilege of testing the 2023 Trailblazer in the Active trim level, which proved to be competent and adept while navigating day-to-day traffic. The 9-speed automatic transmission kept the engine poised at a sweet spot while accelerating, and this Active trim level also features tires that are better fit for off-road challenges. 2023 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban Now Offer Super Cruise Hands-Free Coverage

2023 Chevy Suburban

As the holiday season is now upon us here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis, it’s an excellent time to reflect upon some of the things all of us are thankful for, many of which revolve around upcoming models! The Tahoe and Suburban are a few of our larger-sized favorites that have long snagged up a massive amount of love. They have been gradually improving every year with new features, awesome mileage stats considering the real estate, and rave reviews along with awards.

GM has recently announced the expansion of its amazing Super Cruise technology to add improvement to its advanced driver assistance systems list. Select Tahoe and Suburban units are among the first to get this update, which has recently doubled its capacity to offer hands-free navigation on more than 400,000 miles of roads in the US and Canada. The 2023 Chevy Tahoe and 2023 Chevy Suburban units built after October 3, 2022 are primed and ready for expanded coverage.

An over-the-air update will prep the vehicles included in the Advanced Technology Package on the Premier and High Country trim levels. 22 models are planned to be included as part of GM’s plan to offer Super Cruise by the end of the calendar year. This capable and very popular pair of full-size SUVs are available with three of Chevy’s legendary and durable different engine options. Beginning the lineup is the naturally aspirated 5.3-Liter V8 L84 gas engine, cranking out 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque.

2023 Chevy Tahoe

Primed and ready for the long and festive holiday and weekend hauls is the second-in-command with a 6.2-liter V8 L87 gas engine, rated at 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. You can also opt for the 3.0-Liter I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine, rated at 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Both SUVs proudly command the after-school sports or grocery runs on the GM T1 platform, with assembly taking place at the GM Arlington Plant in Texas.

Sales of the Tahoe and Suburban continued their domination during the 3rd quarter of this year, as consumers were eager to get a defiant yet practical daily driving dose of gas-powered and authentic goodness. The Tahoe saw an increase of 22 percent compared to 24,202 units sold in Q3 2021, with the Suburban hauling happy and eager families by an increase of 41 percent.

“Designed to take your hands and breath away”, Super Cruise can indicate when a lane change is optimal and initiate the maneuver, while closely following signaling protocols. With a decidedly simple interface and the provision of the future’s productive promise, this is a fantastic addition to these all-American and athletic examples of killer craftsmanship and performance.

2024 Chevy Blazer Achieves Coveted “Closed-Reservation” Status Four Months After its Debut

The Chevy Blazer was first introduced in 1969 and has held on to its status of one of the most popular SUVs in existence here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis ever since. Now that everything in the market is changing rapidly and EVs are the future, the 2024 Chevy Blazer is expected to storm the scene as an efficient, athletic and appealing EV. The all-electric setup is already very popular thanks to its extended range, and a stance that is just as purebred and awesome as the gas-powered models it replaces.

The 2024 Blazer was originally revealed back in July, featuring a unique Ultium battery as a power source along with drive motor technology. With four trims available and an impressive selection of added technology features, the last ingredient that resonated with excited customers was an affordable price point during such a volatile market.

There are many configurations and wheel drive types, and this particular model allows for a very customizable form of appeal that lovers of rivals such as Jeep have flocked to in droves. The all-important driving range stat now hovers at about 300 miles depending on what trim you select. It is on par with competitors like the 2022 BMW IX, and Hyundai Ioniq 5, which both are right around 300 miles. Each trim includes onboard AC charging capability of up to 11.5 kW, and the amazingly game-changing DC charging of up to 190 kW.

The Chevy Safety Assist Package offers the addition of automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assistance with lane-departure warnings, forward collision alerts, following distance assistance and indicator, and intelligent high beams. Daily drivers love these features, but these extra and very beneficial tools have also paved the way for the Blazer to become a fully-fledged police pursuit vehicle. The SS Trim level just needs to be beefed up with skid plates, toughened-up tires, and additional racks for the duty of siren-flashing rounds.

The 2LT trim is where the front or all-wheel drive becomes an option, and the RS offers all configurations of front, rear, or all-wheel drive. With the creation and allocation of power being such a prime focus on every new model these days, the Regen on Demand system is another great feature that allows the Blazer to use One Pedal Driving to deliver useful kinetic energy back into the battery to add valuable range.

The ability to flaunt this kind of offering right now as an excellent stronghold in the EV realm could not have come at a better time and is destined to continue its presence as a high-performing hit with drivers nationwide. With its feature-loaded SS trim, excellent driving range, and segment-leading design, the Blazer was an example of a crossover SUV that went above and beyond a daily driver and just looks as if it’s ready to fully pounce from any angle. Auto writers, fans, and busy families everywhere have all been so eager to get their hands on the new Blazer that all reservations have been filled. If you weren’t able to make a reservation, stay tuned! We will provide you with updates on how to get your 2024 Chevy Blazer as soon as we have them.

2023 Corvette Z06’s Track-Dominating Stance and Snarling 5.5-Liter V8 Finalizes Production

One thing that occurs frequently in the business that we are admittedly not always fond of here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis is tedious waiting! When the details about the 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 were given to us some time ago, we knew that supply chain issues may influence the time we’d see it finally grace lots nationwide. The Motor Authority staff officially announced this week on their blog that supercar production finally began in September, and the very first batch was excitingly shipped out to dealerships last Thursday.

The very first model offline was a 70th-anniversary edition example sporting Z07 package and dipped in the unique and eye-pleasing Carbon Flash Metallic hue. The proud ownership rights to this one was sold at an auction for charity early this winter, with CEO of Hendrick automotive group Rick Hendrick coughing up $3.6 million to diligently make it his own. Chevy started accepting orders in late July for the 2023 Z06, which derives power from the always-potent and flat-plane crank 5.5-liter V8, which comes screaming at you larger than life with dual overhead cams and fitting dry-sump lubrication.

Output is a very key issue when it comes to performance and highly collectible cars, and here you're working with 670 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque that is now the highest output of any production made and naturally aspirated V8. Customers can take the time to thoroughly assemble and design their own powertrain with the Engine Build Program, which is paired up with the same 8-speed clutch that takes up residence in the Corvette Stingray. The Stingray version has a bit shorter final drive ratio, clocking in at 5.56 and working overtime to improve the all-important and enjoyable acceleration.

Getting all the way up to the crucial 60 mph interval takes place in just 2.6 seconds, with the quarter mile coming out of the “dry cycle” in just 10.6 seconds at a breathtaking 130 mph. Top speed impatiently signs your dotted line at 195 mph, and it’s all due to the well-homed in setup that will most likely be the very last Corvette Z06 happily blasting through corners with an internal combustion engine. The official announcement came this April regarding the future work and ultimate release of a redesigned C9 that will boast all-electric power.

Car and Driver also claimed earlier this summer that the incoming Z06 is “an intoxicating thriller on the street and an iron-fisted killer on the track”, completely satisfied with everything from the exhaust note to the trademark nervous energy you’ll experience during each drive. Each of the drive modes emits its signature variety of this trademark fun, with Weather, Tour, Sport, and Track on deck as your choices. The My Mode function allows you to recall multiple levels of exhaust intensity that will undoubtedly signal out noticeably in its furious manner to your neighbors when you are prepared to leave and get some pavement-crushing quality time in!
