The 2025 Equinox combines a bold design with impressive features, all while remaining budget-friendly. Its exterior presents a striking and confident look, with a wider grille, squared-off wheel arches, and a sleek ‘shark fin’ C-pillar. The new model is 2.5 inches wider and introduces the all-terrain-ready ACTIV trim. Inside, the Equinox has been upgraded with new 11-inch displays that enhance the driving experience with their sharp, modern visuals.

Safety is a key highlight of the 2025 Equinox. It comes equipped with a range of advanced features as standard, including blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and rear parking sensors. The SUV offers both a CVT and an eight-speed automatic transmission, and its design has adopted a more robust, truck-inspired look. Up front, the Equinox sports a wider grille, sleek LED headlights, and bold squared fender flares. The ACTIV trim, in particular, includes all-terrain tires, black accents, and an optional two-tone paint job.

The 2025 Equinox is available in eight vibrant colors: Cacti Green, Lakeshore Blue, Reef Blue, Summit White, Sterling Gray, Mosaic Black, Radiant Red ($495), and Iridescent Pearl. Inside, the cabin has received a stylish update with a new dashboard featuring dual 11-inch displays, a streamlined center console, and circular air vents inspired by the classic Camaro. Standard features are generous, including cloth upholstery, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.

For those looking for more luxury, optional upgrades include ventilated and power-adjustable front seats, heated rear seats, and synthetic leather upholstery. The Equinox now boasts Chevrolet’s latest Google-based infotainment system, highlighted by an 11.3-inch touchscreen in the center of the dashboard and an 11-inch digital instrument cluster. Standard connectivity features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making integration with your devices seamless and easy.

The system’s intuitive layout ensures that most functions are easily accessible via the menu bar on the left side of the touchscreen. The displays are responsive and feature sharp, modern graphics, with Google Maps standing out for its clarity and usability. The 2025 Equinox also sets a new standard with its extensive suite of safety features. The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse Z71: A Big Brother’s Hand-Me-Downs Yield The Perfect Fit

2024 Chevy Traverse Z71

In many television and movie plots of times past, a younger man pillages his older brother’s closet for some clothing. It may be for a night out on the town, or to ease into the new clique that is populating the high school halls. The younger one in question usually ended up looking very cool and was happy that they relied on their larger shadow’s good taste. This type of sibling occurrence often has good results in the automotive manufacturing world as well!

The new Driving.Ca blog describes the Traverse that we are pleased to provide and service here at Jim Butler Chevy of St. Louis. It also has seen great success while taking a few design cues from the Tahoe, which presides in the family tree as its larger brother. For the 2024 year, the Traverse hits the scene with an upright and solid appearance. It resembles the Tahoe a bit more closely than previous models, and now offers the off-road-ready Z71 trim. This adds knobby tires, an inch of ground clearance, and a much heftier style, again pilfered from the larger relative’s stash.

The powertrain department is one place where the new Traverse did NOT borrow without permission. A close look reveals the previous V6 has now flown the coop and is replaced with a sweet turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder. This engine cranks out 328 horsepower, with its power peaking very high up the tachometer for a turbo model. After a few thorough test drives in urban surroundings, the 8-speed automatic proved to be well-mannered and always precisely situated in gear.

This crew’s Z71 model also included the quite useful trailering package as standard. The Traverse’s curb weight is about 4,800 lbs, which is typical for its genre. When properly equipped, the campsite or lake weekend will rock that much harder with a maximum trailering weight of 5,000 lbs. The Z71-spec tires were the ultimate additive that offered a very cushy ride. The journalists of today have had the pleasure of putting many different vehicles to the test.

This group was particularly pleased with the Super Cruise hands-free driving system, and immediately rated it “the best in the business.” It has now even expanded its functionality to some major two-lane highways and is an excellent tool for the battle against driving fatigue. The 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen was also much appreciated for its quick response times and appealing displays. Some manufacturers’ wireless device charging has left much to be desired, and the Traverse’s was ideally on point during each use.

The Traverse’s middle-row bucket seats can be moved forward and back to make more legroom, and the vehicle’s total carrying capacity has now grown to 98 cubic feet with the second and third rows folded. Even though competing models such as the Toyota Grand Highlander, Kia Telluride, and Ford Explorer may be powered by V6s, the 2024 Chevy Traverse was rated as attractive, spacious, and perfectly rugged! Its grown-up appearance, excellent screen space, and abundant comfort make it perfect for the longer journeys the holidays bring about. The “millennial mom” of the group was adamant about how the Traverse shined leaps and bounds above the others. Others on Reddit claimed that the lines are “clean, fresh, and just a bit boxy, but not too much!”
