It’s true! The 2015 Chevrolet SS will be getting a manual transmission and Jim Butler Chevrolet in St. Louis is just as excited about the news as you are!

The Chevy SS already comes equipped with a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 good for 415 horsepower. Now that the 2015 Chevy SS will have a stick shift, the SS is going to be one hot vehicle on the lot in St. Louis.

The new 2015 Chevy SS will also be getting a Magnetic Ride suspension which is found in the Corvette, Camaro ZL1, and Cadillac’s.

The Big Reveal of the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible

Only two days left until the big reveal of the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible! Jim Butler Chevrolet in St. Louis is ready to see what the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible is all about at the 2014 New York auto show.

The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible features a new aluminum chassis that is 20 percent stiffer. With a new supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V-8 engine, the new Corvette Z06 puts out a whopping 625 horsepower and 635 Ib-ft of torque. The new 8L90 eight-speed automatic transmission with manual shift control is optional while the seven-speed manual transmission is standard.

Similar to the coupe, the 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 Convertible will have a carbon-fiber torque tube, direct fuel engine, Active Fuel Management, and continuously variable valve timing.

The new Corvette Z06 will be offered in four top colors plus five interior colors. We can only assume that the trick GPS-and camera-based Performance Data Recorder will be an option for the new Chevy Convertible as well.

2016 Chevrolet Volt in the Works?

The next Volt coming to Jim Butler Chevrolet in St. Louis will be making its debut at the Detroit Auto Show next January. It has not been said if the new plug-in redesigned Chevrolet Volt will carry a 2015 or 2016 model.

It is expected that the new Volt will have a similar electric range getting around 35 miles and will also retain the same five-door hatchback shape.

One major change to the new Chevy Volt will be its range extender. The current Chevy Volt engine is a 1.4-liter four that is good for 85 hp. The new engine is expected to be a similar concept to the 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine which made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show last fall.

KBB 5-Year Cost to Own Awards Recognize Four Chevrolets

Four vehicles at Jim Butler Chevrolet in St. Louis are making headlines earning the Kelley Blue Book 5- Year Cost to Own Awards. The Chevy Spark, Spark EV, Camaro SS and Impala all made the cut proving to be less expensive to keep in operation than comparable vehicles.

Criteria for the Kelley Blue Book 5-Year Cost to Own Award include depreciation, fuel costs, finance and insurance, maintenance and repair, and state fees. Kelley Blue Book uses critical financial data from third party providers to figure a 5-Year Cost to Own.

The Chevy Spark, Spark EV, Camaro SS and Impala were all the category winners while the Chevy Volt came in second place in the Plug-In category. The Chevrolet EV lineup, which includes the Spark EV, is one of the most affordable EVs available.

Chevy Traverse and Impala Recognized in 12 Best Family Cars

In this year’s search to find the best family vehicle conducted by Kelley Blue Book, real families were among the testers. Recognized by these families as top picks were the 2014 Chevy Traverse and Impala at Jim Butler Chevrolet in St. Louis.

Chevrolet director of marketing, Russ Clark stated, “We designed the Chevrolet Impala and Traverse precisely to offer a wide suite of useful family-friendly features.”

The 2014 Chevy Traverse and Chevy Impala both were chosen for their excellence in safety, comfort, driving performance, room for child seats, cargo space, rear-seat entertainment and other family-friendly features.

Kelley Blue Book started with 21 vehicles that were top-ranked in different family-friendly categories that were then dwindled down to the best 12 with the help of several families.  The results and feedback were recorded by Kelley Blue Book editors.

Some of these results were surprising to Kelley Blue Book, especially the number of sedans that made the list. “Once upon a time before minivans and SUVs, sedans were the primary family car of choice, and this year’s list proves the modern sedan still makes a fine family car,” according to Jack R. Nerad, executive editorial director and executive market analyst for Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com.
