“Guitar Hero” Paul Stanley of KISS will Part With his 2022 Corvette Convertible, Along with One of his 6-Stringed Legendary Treasures

We love ourselves some high-decibel classic rock and roll along with heavy metal here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis, as bands such as KISS bring back memories of some of the loudest and fastest cars of all time. Legendary frontman Paul Stanley is going to auction his 2022 Chevy Corvette Stingray Convertible at Barrett-Jackson’s upcoming Las Vegas Auction to be held from June 30 to July 7. His iconic Corvette is listed with the VIN number 001 for the 2022 model year and is finished in a gorgeous Red Mist Metallic Tincoat.

It also boasts a black roof, the track ready Z51 package, and a characteristic high wing spoiler. The interior sports the bold tan-colored leather that covers the seats and parts of the dashboard, door panels, and transmission tunnel. Other areas are clad in characteristic black leather with tan-colored contrast stitching, and we have long known that Paul Stanley has been one of the most high-profile and enthusiastic Corvette fans there is: he had gone to great trouble to design a C7 Corvette Stingray that was displayed last year at SEMA.

Whoever wins this bid will receive much more than the keys to the car, as they also will be handed a custom and autographed PS120 Paul Stanley Signature guitar. The lucky recipient of this amazing car will also receive the guitar which is another deep part of who Paul is, and he is excited to bring great joy to other people with a killer all-American car and guitar. Ibanez is also the brand that has long partnered up with and sponsored Joe Satriani and is known for its heavier metal tone and grave adjustability.

Diehard customers have been thrilled with the Corvette’s exotic sports-car performance, easy to live with drive daily, and high-end trim levels that fully offer up a premium experience. Being the first generation to have the naturally aspirated V8 engine mounted behind the passenger compartment has been an integral part of boosting our beloved halo sports car into the realm of exotic and highly-sought-after machinery. The incredibly sharp handling and ground-shattering acceleration are a stellar match for sports cars that cost much more, but you could also enjoy a refined enough ride to traverse cross-country.

We admire Paul for the willingness to part with these two amazingly prized possessions, and the 70th Anniversary Model will also mark illustrious Corvette history this year, seeing availability on the top-line 3LT trim. Some of the distinguished exterior enhancements include dark-finish aluminum wheels with 70th Anniversary center caps, red brake calipers, and leather upholstery with red stitching and microfiber trim. With the Z51 Package’s addition you’ll be making 495 horsepower, and enjoy the addition of summer tires, screeching aggressive brakes, and our patented electronic limited-slip differential.

Track-Ready and Perpetually Prepped for Speed: 2023 Corvette Z06 Orders to Soon Begin

It was October of 2021 when the 2023 Corvette Z06 made its official debut, which then introduced a very capable performance model in the latest 8th-generation Chevy Corvette C8 lineup. Dedicated ‘Vette fans right here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis are eager to get their hands on the new Corvette Z06, and the always hard-working staff on duty at GM Authority have officially learned when the order books are officially set to become open.

The 2023 Corvette Z06 ordering will begin late this spring, and there are plenty of new highlights the car boasts to be excited about. There is an all-new engine onboard in the form of the naturally-aspirated 5.5-Liter V8 LT6 gas engine, rated at 670 horsepower and 460lb-ft of torque. The new LT6 can sensationally spin up to an 8,600-rpm redline, while at the same time resonating its unique-sounding exhaust note. The LT6 now also features an active split intake manifold, a flat-plane crank, twin 87 mm throttle bodies, and a track-focused dry-sump oil system. The LT6’s engine connects to the rear wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and the Z06 now presents a more aggressive exterior.

The Z07 Performance Package is one of the ways that anyone who was particularly rubbing their hands with glee waiting for this massively capable beast can make things jump from sensational to simply out of this world! It sees the addition of full carbon fiber aero components, larger carbon-ceramic brakes, stickier Michelin Sport Cup 2 R ZP tires, and optional carbon fiber wheels. The 2023 Corvette Z06 will be offered in both Coupe and Convertible body styles and rides on the amazingly engineered GM Y2 platform.

Anxious speed freaks everywhere can’t wait to get their hands on the Z06, and the GM Authority dedicated troupe also showed off the Z06’s awesome orange hue looks here on their blog last month. Beyond the well-polished appearances and perfect lighting schemes at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, this is a well-cultivated example of what the ‘Vette will look like situated on the showroom floor. Up front, you can notice the Z06’s unique front fascia, with larger intakes and a characteristically wide stance. You’ll also be screeching through corners and enjoying adrenalin-laced straightaways using a plus-sized carbon splitter and front-corner dive planes.

In this profile the new “wishbone” shape can also be noticed, as well as gigantic split-spoke wheels finished in black. Very large performance brakes are in place to get slowed down in a necessary hurry, with the calipers seeing a silver finish. The rear end illustriously sports quad centrally placed exhaust tips, which look great along with the massive Z07 carbon fiber wing on top. Full-scale production is on schedule right now to take place at the GM Bowling Green Assembly plant in Kentucky, pieced together proudly by All-American men and women who are naturally in love with iconic cars such as this themselves!

All-Electric Blazer SS is Arriving to Supercharge Chevy’s Aggressive Performance Lineup

The teaser for the all-electric Blazer SS has been released, and it will officially arrive in time for next spring. Sky-high performance in EVs is just a bit easier to produce compared to their internal combustion engine counterparts, and some are certain that Chevy is going to rely on handling and aerodynamics to make the SS model thoroughly stand out.

The Super Sport badge has long been a Chevy mainstay since the gloriously loud and ferocious edge of the muscle car era, and we are excited about the striking silhouette shown in spy shots. Focusing on cost-efficient offerings rather than premium upper-end alpha models is the plan for rolling out fully electric versions of some of Chevy’s most recognized models, as times continuously change, and families are searching for current technology and safety features within a reasonable budget.

The current-model Blazer you can test drive at Jim Butler Chevrolet boasts an available 308-hp V6, an available two-tone exterior look, and an RS model that we think does a stellar job of channeling the high-powered pony in the form of the Camaro. The 2LT, 3LT, and RS models are all now available with a two-tone exterior paint scheme, and you can dip the exterior in your choice of either Yellow Metallic or Blue Glow Metallic paint color. The 2.0-liter engine now gets a tow package that’s standard with AWD and available with FWD, and you’ll be enjoying 22/29 MPG city/highway when equipped with the 2.0-liter turbo.

Everyone loves a well-concocted plot twist, and this is exactly what we expect the SS model’s arrival to provide for Blazer fans! For now, you can enjoy Chevy’s Safety Assist bundle, which becomes standard in all Blazer grades and provides you with automatic emergency braking, lane centering with departure warning, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic braking come as standard at the 3LT level, and the available Driver Confidence II package provides adaptive cruise control.

2022 ZR2 Spotted Via Spy Shots in the Wild Boasting Even More Go-Anywhere Gear

The 2022 Chevy Silverado ZR2 is the ultimate in fulfillment of many GM truck fans’ desires here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis, as the very capable version of the pickup that could go anywhere appealed to lovers of the trail both here and nationwide. The experts on duty providing the digital scoop at GM Authority provided the story over the past week about spy shots they got their hands on that could indicate GM’s potential work on an even more extreme and off-road focused Silverado that could draw valuable inspiration from the Off-Road concept presented last year during SEMA.

The spy shots in question portray a Chevy Silverado prototype in Crew Cab Short Bed configuration, ideally knobby tires, side rock rails, and off-road wheels with concealed wheel covers. What is of particular interest in the concealed wheels, as GM may have a set of beadlock wheels beneath the covers. There’s also a fairly low-hanging front underbody skid plate, which has a similar design and shape that was witnessed on the Chevy Beast concept at SEMA. There’s quite a bit of camouflage covering up the sight-lines for the grille and front fascia, but interested readers can still make out the similar design to the Beast’s bumper.

There will most likely be an expansion or re-use of the Multimatic DSSV dampers, which offer replacements of the conventional damper with spool valves, resulting in better consistency damper to damper, and less possibility of repeated use over time making for positional changes in the orifice. This also enables the seasoned off-roader to really lay down on the truck while being fully confident that the suspension will behave the same lap after lap.

Many eager truck fans are wondering exactly what powertrain may be sitting under the hood, and it could actually be quite possible that the supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 engine may be the designated and hefty provision! It was recently brought along for the fun into the truck and SUV category courtesy of the Cadillac Escalade-V, so it’s likely that a souped-up Silverado could be another one of its beneficiaries. Also, it would make it a prime and poised contender for rivals such as the 702-horsepower Ram TRX and the incoming and ready-for-battle Ford F-150 Raptor R.

The Edmunds.com team were huge fans of the current-model Silverado when they took it for a lengthy spin, loving the variety of powertrain options, the long cabin with class-leading rear legroom, and the multiple tie-down points along with massive bed capacity. The very rugged and capable ZR2 is just as supreme and steep-hill prone rig as anyone could wish for, and the addition of this hyper off-road focused future model will only stoke the fire for anyone wanting to climb, forge, or otherwise force their way through uncharted territory in full-blown style!

Chevy Trailblazer Sways Safety-Conscious Crowd By Earning IIHS 2022 Top Safety Pick + Award

Many 1st quarter events are not a surprise to us here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis, where we know that vehicles such as the 2022 Trailblazer have been honed-in on specifically by design teams to be the safest vehicles on the planet. The 2022 Trailblazer has just been officially noted by GM Authority for being named as an IIHS Top Safety Pick, following in the footsteps of the year before’s Trailblazer release.

It received a best-possible overall safety rating of “Good” from the IIHS, after presiding at the top of many crashworthiness evaluations including passenger and driver’s side small overall front crash tests, moderate overlap front, roof strength, and head restraints/seats. An economical model that still displays a large amount of unique flair and personality, the 2023 Trailblazer will see production beginning this April 24th, as the tradition of safety and extreme roadworthiness at an attractive price continues. After a week of testing the Activ model, the Cnet.com Roadshow car experts deemed it as “solid, versatile in all ways, and easily earning any urban commuter’s respect”.

Activ and RS models gain a standard heated steering wheel, while roof rack cross rails and a trailering package including a hitch, harness and bezel are now available as extras installed by us right here at Jim Butler. Other goodies that come along for the ride at no extra cost include keyless entry with push-button start, and a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s chair, along with a folding front passenger seat backrest. The Trailblazer offers 25.3 cubic feet of cargo space in its hold, and 54.4 after the rear backrest is completely folded.

This testing model also featured an ideal aftermarket Thule Canyon XT cargo basket on the roof, as the editor set out for a long drive and claimed that the driver’s seat felt immediately firm and perfectly elevated. The steering wheel is leather-wrapped, the 8-inch touchscreen is effective and functional, and the infotainment system wirelessly supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Adaptive Cruise control and an HD Rear Vision Camera are also included in the options group: your EPA figure for mileage will hover around 27.7 mpg, and it will remain a benchmark for quite some time regarding affordable SUVs that are practical and align with current expectations.

Slimmed-down and city-friendly, this turbocharged and very stylish SUV will always be timelessly attractive, and we have all types of financing options available for you here this late winter’s season right here at Jim Butler Chevrolet! Headed to lots like ours with stylish wheels and the option for a black-painted roof that works well visually, we encourage you to check out the model that some think “may not be a sporty choice” and see just all the modern and popular elements that define otherwise!

Tahoe Premier Driveway Test Reveals Comfortable and Classy Road Warrior

The 2022 Chevy Tahoe is one of the larger SUVs you can buy, and it is always capable, comfortable, and stylish! The Autoblog.com testing team took the current model Tahoe Premier out on a snowy week, putting the 6.2-liter V8 with  420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque to the test. The included Premium Package beefed up trailering equipment, camera technology, and the addition of a panoramic sunroof as well as rear-seat entertainment.

The large SUV’s complete redesign for the 2021 model year saw the addition of an independent rear suspension, available Duramax Diesel, and improved interiors. The vehicles now have a more modern sense of style, and all have a diverse range of new technology and practical safety features. The Tahoe is more sophisticated than ever before, with the fenders accentuated by new LED lights and the addition of 20-inch polished aluminum wheels.

Everything that has drastically changed for the Tahoe’s newest generation is evident at a quick glance inside, where the Tahoe bests the Yukon with its comfortable and luxurious interior. The high-tech and visual anchor in the dash in the 10.2- inch screen displays Chevy’s Infotainment 3, which is the Google-powered enhancement for this year’s models along with Android Automotive. The seats feature perforated leather and optional rear-seat entertainment. With all of these features, it has definitely earned its own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!

Residing near the top of USNews.com’s car list for best large SUVs, you’ll love all 3 rows of welcoming seats and more cargo room, and the handling that remains uncomposed when compared to others like it in its segment. Now standard in every 2022 model are front parking sensors, lane departure warning, and lane keep assist, as well as the Buckle to Drive features, which requires both front occupants to buckle up before getting out of park to begin the journey.

Having almost everything in common with the larger-sized Suburban, you’ll be enjoying standard and available features, powertrain combinations, and interior quality. As the Cnet.com review staff claimed after their test drive, this is an SUV that can “haul your family, tow your toys and looks great in front of a fancy restauran.” Come visit us here at Jim Butler Chevrolet and check out how great the Tahoe is going to look escorting you and your family around. There’s still only one Bow Tie Brand swagger, and the 2022 Tahoe brings it big!

Customers Show Massive Love for C8 Corvette’s Aesthetic

Many Corvette fans here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis have appreciated the high demand for the new mid-engine release as it has wowed industry professionals and track hounds since its original debut. When it comes to the new ‘Vette, there are many fans who don’t want to hold their breath for one extra minute. The Autoevolution blog’s writeup last week publicly proclaimed that nearly half of all C8 orders are now up for the open-top variant.

We have all enjoyed watching the C8 become the most accomplished sports car Chevy has ever mass-produced, possessing every item on the checklist of a supercar. It has class-leading looks, performance, appeal, and looks stunning in convertible form. From the moment the Stingray began production, the increase of those desiring the convertible model went from just 17% during 2020 to 49% currently. It’s no surprise that the first-ever folding top’s intensely gained popularity. You can opt to enjoy the sun and wind blasting in with the open-top experience with a quick button’s touch during the summer, all while keeping the other sturdy qualities a fixed roof.

The fourth model year of the C8 Corvette will also come with the blisteringly fast and primo Z06 Performance version, also available in coupe or convertible. Fully realizing Zora Arkus Duntov’s lifelong mid-engine aspirations, the 2020 C8 Corvette was the model that took America’s Sports Car from a straight-line monster that can be made to handle as a powerful sportscar. The world’s supercar giants will pivot toward downsizing and turbocharging to soup up their engines salaciously. Chevy has taken our very successful C8.R GTLM Race Car’s 5.5-liter flat-plane crankshaft DOHC 32-Valve V8 developed with Pratt & Miller and made it immediately roadworthy.

The 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06’s LT6 engine will stake the claim as the world’s largest flat-plane crankshaft V8, and by very enthusiastically producing 670 horsepower at 8,400 RPM. We have also heard insight from the staff on duty with the knowledgeable team at MotorTrend that claims the development crew is new chasing a few final refreshments, seeing to issues like transfer-gear whine and slight engine hesitation.

The team responsible for design and development was very aware that the C8 Stingray has already been bestowed a massive amount of respect but needed to accelerate just a bit quicker and provide razor-sharp handling on every curve. When the test drive took place and the engine’s vibrations rippled through the seats, it was then officially deemed that the Z06 buzzes with extreme excitement and is always ready for more. Sport-mode damping results in tolerable ride quality on just about any road, and the Z06 will always respond to every control input in a faster, more direct, and formidable straight-line fashion!
