EcoTec3 V-8 and the standard 4.3-liter EcoTec3 V-6 engine.
The standard V-6 engine puts out 285 horsepower and 305
Ib-ft of torque. The Fuel economy for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado improves by
3 mpg in the city and 4 mpg on the highway now getting about 18/24. The 2014
Chevy Silverado was introduced to new technologies for the engine that helped
increase output and fuel economy. These technologies include direct injection,
cylinder deactivation, and continuously variable valve timing.
