The spied-on
prototype is not disguised here, and the design matches what is seen on the
online configurator to the T. The shiny chrome trim pieces are now replaced
with black accents, including the bow-tie, window surrounds, and Suburban
badging. There is also a new black grille that sits above a redesigned front
bumper, and new protective skid plate at the bottom. The 20-inch machine
aluminum wheels also seem to be just slightly modified compared to the regular
model's offerings. The power source for the new Z71 is the 5.3-liter V8 that
cranks out 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, which is paired to GM's new
10-speed automatic transmission.
When you take a
look at the online configurator, you have optional packages to choose from
including the Luxury Package and new Rear Media and Nav Package. Make sure to
check out the Z71 Signature Package that adds several important safety features
as well as panoramic power sunroof. Improving on an SUV as iconic as the
Suburban is about much more than just aesthetics. Everyone here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis knew that this version was about making the most versatile
and advanced Suburban ever – offering up more passenger space, and more ways to
have your vehicle specifically tailored to your needs.
The All-new
Suburban offers best-in-class second-row legroom, a newly expanded third row, and
enough cargo volume for you to have space for anyone at all who comes along for
the ride. There are six trims available that all display their own unique style
and flair, and we would always have to sway toward the direction of the
luxurious High Country or street-styled RST! The Z71 trim offers up red tow
hooks and skid plate, 20-inch wheels and all-terrain tires, black tubular
assist steps, and available 4-corner air ride adaptive suspension. With an available
built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi connection and the new Rear-Seat Media System, the passengers
on board will have every last thing they need to stay entertained and
connected, and properly enjoy the journey!
