Existing on
the larger side of things, the 2022 Chevy Traverse is lovin' summertime life
here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis. A notch below the huge and hearty
Suburban, the 2022 Traverse brings about a model refresh with updates to the
styling and interior, as well as the high-tech capabilities of the Chevy Safety
Assist package.
The Safety Assist Package includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Following Distance Indicator, Forward Collision Alert, and IntelliBeam. The RS, Premier, and High Country trim levels also provide Adaptive Cruise Control and Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking. Last year's model did not have the Safety Assist Package with L and LS trim levels. You'll be able to roll up in style with an updated list of paint options including Northsky Blue Metallic, Silver Sage Metallic, and Cherry Red Tintcoat replacing Graphite Metallic, Satin Steel Metallic, and Cajun Red Tintcoat.
The 2022 Chevy Traverse will be ready for production at GM Lansing Delta Township facility in Michigan in August, with units arriving to our dealership this fall. The engine offering is a 3.6-liter V6 option, which generates 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque sent to the front wheels. With comfortable seating for 7 or 8 passengers and an advantage over its rivals in cargo capacity, it appeals to families and active individuals who want a lot of “metal and space” for their money.
The towing capacity is 5,000 lbs, and the Kelley Blue Book team described the Traverse as “superbly comfortable and capable” after an extended test drive. There is also an 8-inch digital display as an available option in the instrument cluster. A new rear power sunshade is available, as well as a twin-panel sunroof to let the rays in as the miles go by.
The exterior size is nearly 10 inches longer than the Toyota Highlander, and the RS look is ideal for anyone searching for a sporty and aggressive boost in appearance. Subscription-based OnStar connect services with 4G LTE and in-vehicle Wi-Fi are available, and the Rear Camera Mirror enables the rearview mirror to now project a live view to drivers. One excited reviewer that had been driving her current model Traverse for two years claimed that the infotainment display, top-notch ride quality, and leather-appointed seats made her a fully guaranteed repeat buyer!
