Chevrolet Gets More Awards than Any Brand in Initial Quality

Jim Butler Chevrolet is proud to announce that Chevrolet took home more awards than any other brand in a recent study conducted by J.D. Power and Associates. Chevrolet had five segment awards and ranked fifth among nameplates for initial quality in the 2013 J.D. Power and Associates Initial Quality Study.

The Initial Quality Study calculates its results by surveying more than 83,000 purchasers of new 2013 model year vehicles at 90 days of ownership.  The study gives manufacturers information that is helpful to identify any issues and to help seek out future improvements needed.

GM Adds Free Service Plan for 2014 Models at Jim Butler Chevrolet

On June 6^th 2013, General Motors announced that they will be adding a new maintenance plan to select 2014 models at Jim Butler Chevrolet and other dealers. The plan applies to select 2014 Buick, Chevrolet, and GMC cars, trucks and crossovers. Similar short-term promotions have been implemented in the past such as leases and closeout programs however the new program will cover all three brands including both purchases and leases.

The new program will include recommended services for two years or 24,000 miles and cover retail customers in St. Louis. This also includes up to four service visits in the 24-month period which will cover oil and filter changes, tire rotations and 27-point vehicle inspections. The program will also be retroactive to new 2014 models already sold and transferable to subsequent owners.

BMW, Jaguar, Mini, Volvo, and VW are other manufacturers that also include a maintenance plan, however GM’s program seems to top them all. Jim Butler Chevrolet will keep you posted on when the new plan will start up in St. Louis!

The 2014 Chevrolet SS Returns to Rear-Wheel Drive at Jim Butler Chevrolet

It has been nearly 17 years since Jim Butler Chevrolet has seen a Chevrolet rear-drive sedan in St. Louis. The 2014 Chevrolet SS will make its appearance at showroom floors this fall and arrive in St. Louis sometime next year.

The 2014 Chevy SS is estimated to do 0-60 in about five seconds putting it behind the Charger SRT8 and just about even with the Taurus SHO. Under the hood is a 6.2-liter V-8 and six-speed automatic transmission producing 415 horsepower.

The 2014 Chevrolet SS will only be offered in one model with standard performance features. The 2014 Chevy SS sits on forged aluminum 19-inch wheels with 245/40ZR tires in the front and 275/35ZR rubber in the back. Also included in performance features are 14-inch front Brembo brakes with two-piece rotors and four piston calipers. Customers will have five exterior colors to choose from including: Mystic Green, Silver Ice Metallic, Red Hot 2, Phantom Black Metallic, and Heron White. All interior colors will be Jet Black with sport front bucket seats.

The interior of the 2014 Chevy SS will be equipped with standard features including Chevrolet MyLink with touch screen and navigation, a Bose premium audio system, a color head-up display, rearview camera with rear-park assist, heated and ventilated front seats, blind-spot alert and lane-departure warning, and keyless entry with push-start button. Also available will be a power sunroof and a full-size spare tire.

Jim Butler Chevrolet will soon have this full-size Chevy pickup in St. Louis. The new 2014 Silverado High Country has a unique exterior appearance and comes fully equipped. The 2014 Silverado High Country will only offer a few options due to the high level of standard equipment.

The distinguishing look of the new 2014 Silverado High Country offers a trim-specific chrome grille and unique 20-inch alloy wheels. The 2014 Silverado High Country will be offered in both two- and four-wheel drive. The buyer may also choose to have a V8 engine with a 5.3-liter or 6.2-liter and choose from a 5-foot, 8-inch or 6-foot, 6-inch box.

The interior is quite comfortable featuring saddle brown leather heated and cooled bucket seats. The 2014 Silverado High Country will also feature alert technologies including lane departure, collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert and haptic seat. Other premium options include navigation, sunroof, and rear-seat entertainment.

Jim Butler Chevrolet is happy to show off the redesign of the famous Chevy Corvette Stingray that has taken on a new exterior shape. Five goals were implemented while sculpting the 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray sports car. The first goal being that they wanted to change the upper to something new and compelling that would be recognizable from a far distance. The sculpting team wanted the front to get a little more serious with a more bold sculpture that you have never seen before. The idea for the back end of the Chevy Corvette Stingray was for it to be a “game changer,” giving the car a unique light signature at night along with taillights that would show off the LED technology.
