Chevrolet's Safety Features are Priceless

Having a child grow into driving age can send parents into a tailspin, but a new study proves that Chevrolet can help keep your teen safe when he or she is on the road without you.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety named three Chevy vehicles to its first-ever list of recommended used vehicles for teen drivers. Newer model Chevrolet Malibu midsize sedans and Equinox midsize and Traverse large crossover SUVs all made the cut, landing on the group’s Best Choices (under $20,000) list. The safety factor in these Chevrolet vehicles is clear, as the vehicles earned "Good" ratings in IIHS moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests; earned at least four out of five stars in federal government crash tests; and offer standard stability control, which helps drivers avoid rollover crashes.

"No parent wants to put a price on the safety of their young drivers and passengers," said Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president of Chevrolet marketing. "When kids graduate from the safety seat to the driver's seat, the Malibu, Equinox and Traverse models recommended by IIHS are affordable while offering parents the safety features they want."

At Jim Butler Chevrolet, our mission is to keep your new driver safe. Bring your teen to the number one Chevy dealer in St. Louis and test drive a Malibu, Equinox or Traverse together.
