An Ideal Match: 3 Chevy Models Win Ideal Vehicle Awards in 3 Different Categories

A Chevy of every size takes home awards that signify meeting owners’ expectations

After AutoPacifca reviewed more than 66,000 surveys of new-car owners for 2015 model years, three Chevrolet models emerged victorious in their respective categories in the Ideal Vehicle Awards (IVA). The 2015 Impala tied for best Large Car, the 2015 Colorado was the top Compact Pickup, and the Chevy-staple Suburban topped the Large SUV Category.

What’s more impressive is that each Chevy winner is a different size and style of vehicle. This shows that across the board, new Chevrolets from Jim Butler Chevrolet in Fenton, MO, satisfy and meet the expectations of their owners. Whether it’s a family needed the size and power of a Suburban, a pickup fan wanting an award-winning Colorado or a large-sedan enthusiast, Chevrolet offers award-winning vehicles of all bodies and sizes.

AutoPacifica’s IVAs are based off the surveys of new-car owners for each model year. The surveys measure the overall experience of owning the model including comfort, fuel economy, engine performance, handling, storage and more.

2015 Chevy Impala: Ideal Large Car (tie)

The 2015 Impala tied for the most Ideal Large Car in AutoPacifica’s research. With an exterior that look not look out of place on a luxury sedan and an exquisite interior with available wood grain, chrome accents and French stitching, the Impala looks handsome inside and out. Under the hood, the Impala is powered by either a classic V6 or ECOTEC 4-cylinder. This is the second year in a row the Impala has won the IVA for large cars.

2015 Chevy Colorado: Ideal Compact Pickup

The Colorado was named Motor Trend’s Truck of the year, and for good reason. With ingenious technology combined with great efficiency, safety and versatility, the Colorado is the fastest-growing midsize pickup for 2015. No wonder owners fell in love as it was rated No. 1 in compact pickups in AutoPacifica’s rakings.

2015 Chevy Suburban: Ideal Large SUV

The Suburban gives St. Louis families everything they need and more. Space, technology, power, safety — the Suburban has it all. For decades, the Chevy Suburban has been a go-to for families. Available 4G LTE Wi-Fi, ECOTEC V8, towing for up to 8,300 pounds and more will delight families of any size.

“These are aggressive editions of one of the country’s hottest-selling truck, demonstrating the personalization that’s possible with Chevrolet accessories, whether it’s for the street, trail or both,” Tony Johnson, Chevrolet Colorado marketing manager, said. “As the Colorado continues to win over new customers, the new Midnight Edition and Z71 Trail Boss give them more choices and build on segment-leading capabilities and efficiency.”

The Trail Boss edition is available on Z71 models of the 2016 Colorado with the extended and crew cab bodies, and in 2WD or 4WD. Powering it will be the option of the 2.5-liter or 3.6-liter engine or the all-new 2.8-L Duramax diesel.
