Map of America's Best Vacation Spots Created With Help From Data Scientist

As clocks have sprung forward and warmer weather has found its way into the beautiful St Louis Metro area, many customers coming in to visit us are on the hunt of vehicles that will be perfect for them to take trips in. From the curves of the Enchanted Highway in North Dakota to the Cafe du Monde in the French Quarter, there is an abundance of great sights to see once you hit the road. After you have secured a lease or purchased a fantastic new 2018 vehicle for the trip, sometimes the precise route in question needs a bit of extra attention to exact detail. The excitement of fast roller coasters, pro sporting events, historic trails, and legendary landmarks such as the Alamo are always bound to stir a sense of American pride.

Chevy recently put to use the expertise of very accomplished data scientist Randy Olson to help travelers make the most of their plans, while on the hunt for the best route to take while exploring the various states. When we conducted a survey last year related to travel and which items rank highest with parents, seeing destinations for the first time as a family, and locations that stood out from the crowd-ranked highest as must-haves for family road trips. Providing destination directions for great U.S. Landmarks such as the Utah Olympic Park in Utah and Graceland in Memphis, the data on this map provides users with efficient routes between points of interest, allowing you to enjoy the locations without having to backtrack extensively.

The unique design of the map allows anyone viewing it to hit the road in confidence with any location as a starting point, and hone in to decide just how much or how little they want to drive every day. Chevy is the only brand in existence to earn a J.D. Power Dependability Award for cars, trucks, and SUVs three years in a row, solidifying our brand's promise to consistently provide safety during all stages of a journey. The national survey we commissioned a year ago found that drivers have on average 6.6 mobile devices for streaming, navigation, games, and music. The Chevy Equinox, Traverse, and Trax all have first-rate technology options, to assure that all passengers on board stay connected with a 4G LTE Wi-Fi signal.

One of the coolest aspects of this partnership with one of the U.S.'s most intelligent navigation experts was created with those in mind who are looking to take trips that are not as long. You may have your sights set on the Northeast, where lighthouses and lobsters dominate the landscape, or on the Southwest, where red rock and cactus are prime characteristics. If you have just made a new purchase or secured a lease from us here at Orielly Chevy, one of the best trips we could recommend is to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Situated near Empire, Michigan, the park covers a 35-mile stretch of coastline. Here you can explore sand dunes, forests, beaches, and amazing ancient glacier formations. Jim Butler Eye on Electric: Chevy Bolt Production to Increase in Near Future

As spring looms pleasantly over all of us here at Jim Butler of St Louis, we are paying attention to how different automakers worldwide are pledging in their own ways to help the environment. During the annual CERAWeek energy conference in Houston, GM Ceo Mary Barry announced that with the increase in global demand, Chevy Bolt EV production is slated to be heavily ramped up. This will take place at the Orion Assembly plant north of Detroit, and the goal is to construct around 30,000 units per year.

In the spotlight as of late has been the grave importance regarding the need to remove barriers to consumers accepting the presence of Electronic Vehicles. Our sales and service staff here believes that the energy industry and various other stakeholders must partner with auto manufacturers to develop a healthy infrastructure for charging, that drives consumers' confidence to be able to use their EV's in many different locations. Last year, Chevy proudly announced a drastic expansion of electric car plans, citing 2 new electric vehicles based on the EV Bolt Platform within the next 18 months, and an astonishing 18 more within the next 5 years.

The base LT trim equips you with 17-inch alloy wheels, HID headlights, a rearview camera, single-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry/start, an 8.0-inch re-configurable display, and Chevy's MyLink infotainment system, complete with a 10.2-inch touchscreen. We can fill you in on all of the details about the Premiere Trim level as well: you here gain leather upholstery, a 360-degree view camera system, heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, heated front and rear seats, blind spot warning, rear parking sensors, and rear-cross traffic alert.

During the all-important IIHS testing stages, last year's Bolt EV received a score of “good” on every single crash test except for the headlight category, and also gleaned a “Superior” rating on the front crash prevention test after avoiding a 12 as well as 25 – MPH collision. Due to this high level of showing, the Bolt then received Top Safety Pick rating from the IIHS for the entire year. 16.9 cubic feet of cargo space are located behind the 60/40 split-folding rear seats, and when they are folded all of the way down, yield 56.6 cubic feet. U.S. News claimed in its car blog this month that the 2018 Bolt has “zippy performance and a spacious interior”, and commended it for its long range, quick charging time, and abundant power.

We'll show you here at Jim Butler how the Bolt boasts the claim to one of the longest ranges for electric currently available: at 238 total miles, you can replenish the battery power overnight with the use of a 240-volt charger. You'll save hundreds of dollars on fuel, and we are all very excited about the soon-to-be-heightened level of production for the nation's most smart and sophisticated electric car option!
