The 2014 Chevrolet Spark EV at Jim Butler Chevrolet

Jim Butler Chevrolet looks forward to the arrival of the 2014 Chevrolet Spark EV coming to St. Louis in the future. The 2014 Chevrolet Spark EV has its own oil-cooled permanent-magnet electric motor built by GM.

The 2014 Chevy Spark EV motor puts out 140 horsepower and 400 Ib-ft of torque. Recent estimations say that the 2014 Chevrolet Spark EV can do 0 to 60 in less than eight seconds which is a few seconds faster than regular gas models taking 11-plus seconds.

With a 21-KWh lithium-ion battery pack, the 2014 Chevrolet Spark EV’s stated range is 82 miles. GM also states that there will be a DC fast-charge option that will come out this fall. The DC fast charge option comes with a plug and electronic control box to hook up with chargers that offer a 100-percent charge in 20 minutes. A 50 percent charge will only take 12 minutes getting you back on the St. Louis streets in no time!

The 2014 Chevy Spark EV gets a 600-pound gain in curb weight and the center of gravity is more than two inches lower. The Spark also has four-wheel disc brakes with rear tires that are wider than the fronts.
