New Malibus at Jim Butler Chevrolet aim for ‘groundbreaking’ and ‘passionate’ design

The heads at Chevrolet are “hustling” to present a new Malibu— Chevrolet’s mark in the mid-size car segment — within a year according to a report from Automotive News. While the Cruze has been grabbing headlines and satisfying owners the past few years, the Malibu has been waiting in the wings.

Chevrolet’s next Malibu will strive for a “groundbreaking design” and new groundbreaking technology, Mark Reuss, General Motors’ head of global product development, said. Chevrolet aims to be a distinctive and dramatic mid-size car to make General Motors and consumers proud. Reuss continues that Chevrolet has its act together on the mid-size segment. Ed Welburn, global design head, added that the next Malibu will make a significant statement and a “passionate” design.

While the hype builds for the newest Chevrolet Malibu, the 2015 Chevrolet Malibu at Jim Butler Chevrolet boast a 36 mpg highway rating and built-in OnStar 4G LTE  Wi-Fi. Two engines are available on the 2015 Malibu—the standard Ecotec 2.5-liter 4-cylinder and an available 2.0-L turbocharged 4-cylinder with the exhilaration of a V6 in the efficiency of a 4-cylinder.
