JIM BUTLER CHEVROLET NAMED DEALER OF THE YEAR

Jim Butler Chevrolet's Brad Sowers received notification of the award, which will be presented in April at GM’s headquarters in Detroit.

Jim Butler Chevrolet is one of the Top 21 dealerships nationwide for annual new car sales. It is also the largest new and certified pre-owned dealer in the state of Missouri. However, the award is about more than just hitting sales records. The award honors dealers’ performance in sales, service, customer satisfaction and community involvement.

Sowers, co-owner and president of Jim Butler Auto Group, said the award was long coveted by the dealership.

“After 12 years of continuously improving our customer service ratings and increasing sales year after year, we are proud to be recognized by Chevrolet as Dealer of the Year,” Sowers said. “Because of the hard work of our employees and a strong focus on our customers, we are now considered one of the ‘best of the best’ Chevrolet dealers in the world.”

Jim Butler Chevrolet has earned numerous accolades including the General Motors “Mark of Excellence” award for six years in a row and the Women’s Choice Award. The Better Business Bureau has recognized the dealership with its Torch Award for outstanding customer service and exceptional standards for ethical business practices.

Sowers said that Jim Butler Auto Group is proud to support a number of charities including Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Louis and the local activities of the American Cancer Society. The company also launched a teen safe driving campaign throughout the St. Louis region in 2014 that encourages young drivers not to text or use smart phone functions while driving, and to avoid drowsy and impaired driving.

Sowers is optimistic that 2016 will be a banner year for Chevy sales, both nationwide and at his dealership. He recently introduced two new programs to draw even more customers. SNAP (Simple New Auto Plan) is designed to attract Millenials by offering a new car with the latest technology, affordable lease payments, and free oil changes and tire rotations. Business Elite is a program for business customers that includes priority maintenance services, free loaner vehicles during maintenance, fleet management and other customer incentives.

Chevrolet continues as the industry’s fastest growing brand. In 2015, Chevrolet had its best sales year since 2007. Nationwide, GM has 3,800 dealers across its numerous brands, and only 56 have been recognized as a Dealer of the Year.
