Battle for New Year's Truck Market Domination: Chevy's Formula For the Fight

During the month of January at Jim Butler, there may be some time spent in our respective “war rooms”, as this is the time of year when the competition has their plans in place to try and dominate the market. Ram, Ford, and Chevy all have revamped full-size pickup trucks ready for the US market this year, setting the tone for what is regularly an all-out showdown. Our prized Chevy Silverado is slated to debut in a few weeks at the Detroit Auto Show, with plans to go fully on sale later in the year. Here are some important bits of information about the competition we are facing during this New Year, and elements of our formula to roar across the finish line!

Last year, Ford was elated to celebrate the first full years of sales for the brand-new F-150 pickup truck. Closing out the year with a fair amount of success, it was the best-selling vehicle in the US for more than four decades. But, one important detail about this hard-hitting competitor is that last year got off to a bumpy start, as the lightweight aluminum in the assembly was scrutinized a bit by various customers for that segment. The F-series has been in existence since 1948, and when Ford introduced the 13th version 3 years ago, it underwent a massive redesign. For many large-size truck customers, this is the ultimate full-size contender as a truck, but here at Chevy, we feel that our sensational Silverado can stop the F-series dead in its tracks!

The RAM 1500 does have scores of loyal followers that will pony up to purchase under various circumstances. Aggressive big-rig styling, an interior that is fairly modern, and expertly-designed suspension are some of the various highlights that lure many buyers. One important detail in how the final chips fall is the towing capacity for the Ram: it weighs in at less than both the new F-series, and the Chevy Silverado. This is the crushing blow for many out there looking for a truck: the final straw for some is the stat on how much you can lug behind. One positive thing going for it is the new model has a bit smaller of a grille, in place to improve aerodynamics.

Over the past week, Business Insider was excited enough about the release of our secret formula in this battle to start a bit piece with the words: “Behold, the 2019 Silverado!”. Our truck lines date back through an entire century, and the Silverado namesake is now successfully roaring into its fourth generation of existence. Just one of the features that we know makes our truck the best around is the stellar 4G LTE WiFi connection, as well as the ease-of-use and accessibility of the Infotainment system. Ask us here at Jim Butler what the Silverado Custom Model offers: with it, you snag 20-inch aluminum wheels, body-color grille surround, locking tailgate, front two hooks, OnStar Guidance, a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and power adjustable + heated side view mirrors.

When making your choice for a brand new truck during the New Year, you can also add to your checklist another very important stat about the Silverado: it received the highest overall safety rating from the NHTSA, which is five stars. We also encourage you to check out the Teen Driver feature: this is the way to keep tabs on the younger drivers in your entourage, and make sure that they learn the most responsible way to navigate the road!
