2023 Tahoe RST Performance Edition Comes Equipped for Pure Driving Excitement, Extreme High-Speed Pursuit

The most popular SUV for the brand we love providing and servicing every day and for here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis now comes with a version especially tuned for higher speeds and precision ability, as the 2023 Tahoe Performance Edition is poised to impress. In an age of now emerging electric power and many new models attempting to conserve energy, this performance edition will have more horsepower and speed than ever before and is on track to thoroughly impress the on-pavement adrenalin junkies and lovers of tight corners out there.

Coming fully loaded with equipment and all the fixings to satisfy those who want every comfort along with raw excitement, this release is on track to embrace the proven capability of Chevy’s pursuit-rated police vehicle packages, and provides the appealing qualities of a confident and practical daily driving experience for loyal customers. This new RST Performance Edition will come in stomping and screeching along with a rare quality of smooth appeal and more power than any other Tahoe. The very amazing Performance Induction and Exhaust System increases output to a thundering 433 horsepower and 467 lb-ft of torque.

This is a very impressive increase of 13 horsepower and 7 lb-ft considering the current RST’s available 6.2-liter engine, with the capable and always-confident transmission option of the tried-and-true Chevy 10-speed automatic. There are some other components snagged from the pursuit-rated Tahoe such as police-spec springs, completely retuned dampers, and police-spec chassis calibrations. Off-road specialists have sometimes preferred a much higher lift offering clearance, but this edition goes a bit in the opposite direction with a lowered ride height of .4 inchs in front, and .8 inches in the rear.

Stopping will be a perfectly calibrated cinch courtesy of Brembo front and rear brakes and unique Torch Red Calipers, boasting a 25% larger size than the diameter of the standard RST system. Anyone who already has a grave appreciation for the Tahoe will also have an immediate love for the addition of police-spec Firestone Firehawk Pursuit 275/55R20 tires with 20-inch aluminum wheels in black. It’s a vehicle that is now fine-tuned to handle massive speed with agility and control, and will no doubt be a huge hit with those who aren’t in the habit of getting from A to B on the slow side.

You’ll be blasting on up to 60 mph in just 5.78 seconds, with the quarter mile being navigated at a lightning-fast speed at just 14.2 seconds at 97 mph. Getting to a safe and complete stop from 60 mph takes place in 133 feet, and the top speed achieved by the official testing crew was 124 mph. You’ll still be able to haul all the necessary toys to the lake and beyond with a 7,600-lb trailering capacity, with the base RST also accomplishes when equipped with the 6.2-liter engine. The Performance Edition also now comes standard with the Luxury Package, which adds an awesome roster of active safety and driver convenience features
