Chevy’s Apex Predator: The 2025 Corvette ZR1 Is Brutal, Loud, and Unstoppable

2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1

Here at Jim Butler Chevrolet of St. Louis, we’ve seen our fair share of performance machines. But few make a statement like the 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1—especially after experiencing it firsthand at Circuit of the Americas (COTA). This racetrack demands the best from any vehicle brave enough to take it on.

With its tricky decreasing-radius S-curves, a blind-entry kink at Turn 10, a fast three-apex combo at turns 16 through 18, and the deceptively quick Turn 19, COTA is a true proving ground. So when Chevrolet invited us to the official first drive of the ZR1 at this legendary 3.41-mile, 20-turn Formula 1 circuit in Texas, we knew they were serious.

The Numbers Are Wild—but the Experience Is Wilder

We already knew Corvettes were no slouch on the track. But let’s be honest—ZR1s have always leaned toward muscle-car brute force, the kind you slap on posters with massive horsepower stats. And this new one? It’s a game-changer.

With a staggering 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque from its new LT7 engine, the 2025 ZR1 isn’t just stronger than its predecessor—it’s on another planet. For context, the previous-gen ZR1 had 755 hp and was described by pro drivers as a bit of a handful. Overwhelmed traction control, sketchy rear-end behavior, and wild power delivery were common complaints.

Chevy clearly took that feedback seriously.

The LT7: Built to Thrill, Engineered to Control

This monster of a powerplant isn’t just a turbocharged version of the Z06’s engine—it’s a complete re-engineering. While the LT6 and LT7 share architecture, the similarities end there. The LT7 uses dished pistons, new titanium rods, and a lower 9.8:1 compression ratio to better handle the turbo setup. It adds revised cams, larger combustion chambers, a dual fuel-injection system (yes, 16 injectors), and a motorsport-inspired cooling system.

The two ball-bearing turbos are engineered for relentless boost with minimal lag, even under braking. Chevy’s engineers say they can move enough air to fill an Olympic-sized pool in four minutes—an insane stat that somehow matches the performance we felt on track.

And about that cooling system? It’s good enough to keep this beast humming lap after lap, using tech inspired by the Corvette Z06 GT3.R race car—the same one that competes in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Confidence in Every Corner

When we finally got behind the wheel at COTA, Chevy wisely started us off in a standard C8 to get our bearings. But the real surprise came once we transitioned to the ZR1.

Despite the jaw-dropping specs, the ZR1 is shockingly approachable. On solo laps, we quickly found ourselves exploring the outer limits of the throttle—and doing so without fear. Chevy required Performance Traction Management to stay active (for good reason), but even then, we noticed how composed and balanced the car was, even when pushed.

It’s lightyears ahead of the last ZR1, and a testament to how much Chevy has improved power delivery, traction, and overall control.

Raw Power Meets Precision

Rolling on Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires and fitted with the optional Carbon Aero package, the ZR1 felt planted and precise. Yes, the tail will dance if you’re too greedy with the throttle, but it’s easily manageable—and fun.

This isn't just about speed. The ZR1 delivers a sensory overload. The LT7's 8,000 rpm redline is addictive. Peak torque hits at 6,000 rpm and horsepower peaks at 7,000, making it feel alive across the entire rev range. The sound? It’s a mix of a banshee shriek and a thunderous growl—something no EV can replicate, no matter how quick.

And yes, it’s fast. Chevy says 0–60 mph happens in 2.5 seconds and the quarter mile flashes by in 9.7 seconds at 152 mph. That’s in a rear-wheel-drive setup—without the benefit of all-wheel traction.

This Is the Corvette to Beat

Within a few laps, any concern about unmanageable power vanished. Instead, we found ourselves just enjoying the drive—pushing for better lines, cleaner exits, and faster laps. And that’s what separates this ZR1 from its predecessors: it’s not just about brute force; it’s about finesse.

If you're serious about performance, the ZTK Performance Package is a must-have. It pairs with the Carbon Aero package to unlock the ZR1’s full potential, transforming the coupe into a true track weapon. And for everything it adds in capability and thrill, it’s a compelling upgrade that makes the already potent ZR1 even more exceptional.

Bottom Line: It’s Not Just Fast—It’s Brilliant

We haven’t yet tested the ZR1 on public roads, but based on our time at COTA, there’s no reason to believe it won’t be an engaging daily companion. It’s civilized when you need it to be and outrageous when you want it to be.

Refined, powerful, and unmistakably iconic—the 2025 Corvette ZR1 has arrived at our St. Louis showroom. If you’re searching for a driving experience that blends sophistication with world-class performance, this is your invitation to experience the extraordinary.

Trail Mix: Off-Road Grit Meets Electric Grit in New Silverado EV

2026 Silverado EV Trail Boss

Chevrolet is reshaping its Silverado EV lineup for 2026, replacing the outgoing RST launch edition with a bold new entry: the Trail Boss. Built for serious off-road performance, the Trail Boss introduces rugged enhancements designed to take on rough terrain with confidence—and look great doing it. It joins the Work Truck and LT trims for the upcoming model year, giving buyers more options that balance electric efficiency with Silverado toughness here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis.

Off-Road Capability Meets EV Innovation

The new Trail Boss trim comes ready for adventure, featuring a factory 2-inch suspension lift, beefy 35-inch all-terrain tires mounted on 18-inch wheels, red front tow hooks, and Trail Boss-exclusive styling inside and out. A redesigned front end improves approach angles for tackling steep grades and rocky paths, while badging and interior touches make it clear this EV means business.

Chevrolet also debuts a Trail Boss-specific Terrain mode that enhances low-speed off-road control, sharpening the EV’s four-wheel steering. Sidewinder mode, previously seen on the RST, carries over—allowing for crab-walk-style diagonal movement at low speeds.

High-Tech and High-Performance Features

Trail Boss buyers can also expect premium tech like Super Cruise with Towing capability, hands-free driving on compatible roads, and the innovative Multi-Flex Midgate that expands cargo space. The model comes standard with the high-performance Wide Open Watts (WOW) mode for maximum acceleration.

Performance and Range Across the Lineup

Every 2026 Silverado EV comes standard with dual-motor four-wheel drive, ensuring confident traction on and off the road. Power and range vary by battery pack, and Chevrolet offers multiple configurations to meet a variety of needs:

Trail Boss

  • Horsepower: 625 hp (extended battery), 725 hp (max battery)

  • Torque: 775 lb-ft across both battery options

  • Estimated Range: Up to 478 miles, depending on battery selection

LT

  • Horsepower: Ranges from 605 to 760 hp

Built for the Jobsite or the Campsite

Whether you’re hauling tools or heading into the wild, the 2026 Silverado EV Trail Boss is built to handle it all. Thanks to its dual-motor setup and advanced suspension, this truck maintains its poise over mud, gravel, and steep inclines. And with up to 10,000 pounds of towing capacity (when properly equipped), it doesn't just conquer trails—it pulls its weight and then some. The addition of Super Cruise with Towing means long hauls are less stressful, letting drivers enjoy the journey as much as the destination.

Smart Inside, Strong Outside

Inside, the Trail Boss blends rugged style with modern functionality. Drivers will find a Trail Boss-exclusive interior design that complements the truck’s off-road character while still offering premium comfort. Standard features like a large digital display, wireless smartphone integration, and advanced driver-assistance technologies ensure every drive is as connected as it is capable. The Multi-Flex Midgate adds surprising versatility, allowing for extended cargo space to accommodate longer items without sacrificing passenger room.

Saddle Up for Smoothness: The Traverse High Country Corrals Comfort and Class

2025 Chevy Traverse

We’ve seen all kinds of SUVs roll through our doors at Jim Butler Chevy of St. Louis—from rugged trail-runners to sleek urban crossovers—but the 2025 Chevy Traverse High Country stands out in today’s crowded market. With rising expectations for family vehicles to do it all—comfort, safety, tech, and style—Chevrolet has delivered a true game-changer. The new Traverse High Country blends upscale design, cutting-edge features, and practical versatility into one bold and refined package that meets the modern family's every need, whether it’s a weekday school run or a weekend road trip.

From the moment it pulls up, the High Country trim turns heads. You've got a bold, upscale front grille, massive 22-inch high-gloss black wheels, and Chevy’s signature C-shaped LED lights that give it a distinctive, modern look. Chrome accents around the windows and exclusive High Country badging polish off the premium vibe perfectly.

Now, let’s talk about how impressively this SUV drives. For a three-row vehicle, the 2025 Traverse High Country handles like something much smaller. The suspension is tuned for comfort — smooth and steady, even on the unpredictable pavement you'll find along stretches of I-70 or the backroads outside St. Charles. It glides over potholes, absorbs the bumps, and keeps cabin noise to a minimum.

Whether you're heading into downtown St. Louis for a night out or navigating tight parking at the Chesterfield shopping center, the ride stays quiet and composed. And with its elevated seating position, you get a commanding view of the road — a real advantage when merging onto I-270 or backing into a tight spot near the ballpark.

City drivers, listen up: this thing is easier to maneuver than you'd think. The steering is light and responsive, and the turning radius is surprisingly tight. Add in standard all-wheel drive and you’re good to go even when South Florida throws one of those sudden downpours your way.

No, it’s not a sports car — but it handles confidently, especially for something that seats up to seven. Chevy’s advanced safety tech sweetens the deal: features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking are all there to make daily commutes or road trips less stressful.

Step inside, and you’re surrounded by comfort. You can go with Jet Black leather and bronze accents or opt for the Sky Cool Gray interior — both look stunning. The front seats are heated and ventilated, second-row outboard seats are heated too, and the third row folds flat at the touch of a button. Long story short: this SUV is ready for real-life use.

Performance-wise, you’re looking at a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an eight-speed automatic, it delivers solid acceleration — zero to 60 in about 7.3 seconds. It’s strong, smooth, and ready for just about anything your family throws at it.

And of course, safety hasn’t been overlooked. The Traverse High Country comes standard with Chevy Safety Assist, which includes forward collision alert, lane keep assist, auto emergency braking, and more. Add in blind zone steering assist and a high-definition surround-view camera system, and you’ve got peace of mind from driveway to highway.

The 2025 Traverse High Country delivers serious value for families who want more from their SUV. With its refined features, upscale touches, and impressive performance, you’re not just driving — you’re investing in confidence, comfort, and capability wrapped in a premium package.

This isn’t just another three-row SUV checking boxes. The Traverse High Country sets a new standard for what a modern family vehicle can be. If you're looking for something that blends luxury with everyday practicality, this Chevy delivers on all fronts.

Swing by, tap into the marvelous tech, and see why this SUV is getting all the well-deserved attention!

Pilot Mode Engaged: Inside the Command-Centric 2026 Corvette

2025 Corvette Line-Up

As a proud Corvette dealer here at Jim Butler Chevy of St. Louis, we have seen the evolution of this legendary American sports car firsthand—but the 2026 lineup is something truly extraordinary. Whether you’re eyeing the Stingray, Z06, E-Ray, or the range-topping ZR1, every 2026 Corvette now comes with a completely reimagined interior that blends advanced technology with upscale craftsmanship. This update doesn’t just look good—it addresses past concerns and brings driver and passenger comfort to the forefront.

A Cabin Built for Command and Comfort

Chevrolet has given the Corvette’s interior a complete redesign for 2026, transforming the cockpit into a place where form meets function. One of the biggest changes is the removal of the vertical “button wall” that used to separate driver and passenger. In its place, you’ll find a sleek, open layout that includes a sturdy grab handle for the passenger, making the space feel more inclusive and balanced.

Every design detail, from the materials to the stitching, has been thoughtfully refined. The driver still gets a focused experience, but now the passenger can enjoy the ride just as much. It's performance-oriented, yes—but also welcoming.

Three Screens, Total Control

Drivers will love the new triple-screen layout, which puts performance data and vital controls right where you need them:

  • A 14-inch driver display (up from 12 inches)

  • A 12.7-inch center touchscreen (a significant upgrade)

  • A new 6.6-inch auxiliary screen near the steering wheel

Whether you're monitoring G-forces, checking tire temps, or customizing your layout for daily driving vs. track mode, this system is all about precision and personalization.

Smarter Performance Tools

The 2026 Corvette takes performance data to a new level. Chevrolet has expanded the Performance App and upgraded the Performance Data Recorder (PDR), allowing you to log high-def video with telemetry, compare lap data, and even get speed tips to improve your driving. It’s like having a built-in racing coach.

From horsepower and torque visualization to eAWD metrics (on E-Ray models), tire pressure monitoring, and acceleration timers—you can see it all in real time. These features aren’t just for track junkies; they’re great tools for anyone who wants to better understand and connect with their car.

Tech That Works For You

Every 2026 Corvette comes with Google Built-in. That means voice control, intuitive navigation, and access to apps like YouTube, HBO Max, and Google Chrome when parked. You’ll also find Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone integration.

And yes, even the volume knob got an upgrade—it’s larger and backlit for better visibility. Little details like the new leather shelf below the screen give your hand a place to rest while using the touchscreen.

Color Like You’ve Never Seen

New to the Corvette world: asymmetrical interior color options. Think bold Adrenaline Red for the driver and Jet Black for the passenger—making your Corvette look and feel like a true performance machine. You can even mix and match racing-style driver seats with GT-style passenger seats.

Additional color options include:

  • Sky Cool Gray & Habanero Orange: Futuristic and energetic

  • Santorini Blue: A daring choice for bold personalities

  • Very Dark Atmosphere: A warm, premium brown for long-distance cruising

  • Ultimate Suede: Luxurious suede finishes with stitching in your choice of red, yellow, or blue

Craftsmanship That Shows

From the Ultimate Suede package to carbon fiber accents and hand-wrapped cupholders with ambient lighting, no detail has been overlooked. The center console has been completely rethought for better ergonomics, including an easier-to-reach drive mode selector and a new wireless phone charger with a protective lid.

Every trim level—2LT and above—includes premium aluminum finishes in the cupholders and other touchpoints. And with options like the carbon fiber display hood now standard on the ZR1 and available on the E-Ray and Z06, performance aesthetics come built-in.

Why It Matters to You

If you’re looking for a sports car that delivers on power and polish, the 2026 Corvette is in a class of its own. This isn’t just a refresh—it’s a leap forward. With unmatched attention to detail, advanced technology, and a driver-focused environment that’s now more inviting than ever, the new Corvette is ready to dominate both the road and the track.

Come by and see for yourself. The future of performance is here—and it’s waiting for you in the driver’s seat.
