2023 Tahoe RST Performance Edition Comes Equipped for Pure Driving Excitement, Extreme High-Speed Pursuit

The most popular SUV for the brand we love providing and servicing every day and for here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis now comes with a version especially tuned for higher speeds and precision ability, as the 2023 Tahoe Performance Edition is poised to impress. In an age of now emerging electric power and many new models attempting to conserve energy, this performance edition will have more horsepower and speed than ever before and is on track to thoroughly impress the on-pavement adrenalin junkies and lovers of tight corners out there.

Coming fully loaded with equipment and all the fixings to satisfy those who want every comfort along with raw excitement, this release is on track to embrace the proven capability of Chevy’s pursuit-rated police vehicle packages, and provides the appealing qualities of a confident and practical daily driving experience for loyal customers. This new RST Performance Edition will come in stomping and screeching along with a rare quality of smooth appeal and more power than any other Tahoe. The very amazing Performance Induction and Exhaust System increases output to a thundering 433 horsepower and 467 lb-ft of torque.

This is a very impressive increase of 13 horsepower and 7 lb-ft considering the current RST’s available 6.2-liter engine, with the capable and always-confident transmission option of the tried-and-true Chevy 10-speed automatic. There are some other components snagged from the pursuit-rated Tahoe such as police-spec springs, completely retuned dampers, and police-spec chassis calibrations. Off-road specialists have sometimes preferred a much higher lift offering clearance, but this edition goes a bit in the opposite direction with a lowered ride height of .4 inchs in front, and .8 inches in the rear.

Stopping will be a perfectly calibrated cinch courtesy of Brembo front and rear brakes and unique Torch Red Calipers, boasting a 25% larger size than the diameter of the standard RST system. Anyone who already has a grave appreciation for the Tahoe will also have an immediate love for the addition of police-spec Firestone Firehawk Pursuit 275/55R20 tires with 20-inch aluminum wheels in black. It’s a vehicle that is now fine-tuned to handle massive speed with agility and control, and will no doubt be a huge hit with those who aren’t in the habit of getting from A to B on the slow side.

You’ll be blasting on up to 60 mph in just 5.78 seconds, with the quarter mile being navigated at a lightning-fast speed at just 14.2 seconds at 97 mph. Getting to a safe and complete stop from 60 mph takes place in 133 feet, and the top speed achieved by the official testing crew was 124 mph. You’ll still be able to haul all the necessary toys to the lake and beyond with a 7,600-lb trailering capacity, with the base RST also accomplishes when equipped with the 6.2-liter engine. The Performance Edition also now comes standard with the Luxury Package, which adds an awesome roster of active safety and driver convenience features

2023 Chevy Corvette Z06: 10 Heart-Raising Traits that Render it Tremendous

The official release of the 2023 Corvette Z06 actively solidified its status as one of the most legendary American cars ever made. We have watched in awe here at Jim Butler Chevrolet as it has gone head-to-head with much more expensive supercars and shown amazing stature and prowess in every category. The current model boasts the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 for any production car and is likely one of the final shining jewels of internal combustion engines.

Here are some of the characteristics that make this ‘Vette one of the most exciting automotive achievements to grace our lot during a transitional moment in technology development and history!

The Extreme Styling That Dominates Every Model Waiting in Line:

The Corvette has always stood out in the design sense, and the new C8 fits the bill. Performance stats and great looks are the two things that most enthusiasts care about most, and there is no denying that the Z06 is a great-looking vehicle that brings head-turning swagger wherever it goes. Alloy wheels, rear lights, and the rear spoiler add to a stance that would catch anyone’s eye immediately.

Handling That Scorches the Track:

The Z06 boosts the C8’s performance by a very noticeable notch with even better handling characteristics. The track focus suspension setup and a chassis that meshes well with the oversized engine have about 30 percent higher ride frequency than the Z07 package, and the new helper spring on board allows the coil spring to fully unwind without the unnecessary additive of wheel travel.

Interior Excellence Enriched With Carbon Fiber:

The Z06’s cockpit was carefully designed to go head-to-head with the priciest and most renowned names in the industry, And the first thing that expert reviewers noticed about it was how incredibly driver-focused it is. The glances of carbon fiber inside remind you that this is a car that will act the fiercest and perform at the highest level on the track. While it makes the car look as razor-sharp and focused as ever, it also removes some excess weight, which drastically improves top speed.

The Z06 Now Offers the Most Powerful V8 Ever Made

During this period when gas-powered greats are slowly disappearing into the sunset, the decision was made to assure that the Z06 was the champion concerning engine power. The LT6 comes equipped with a 5.5-liter flat-pane crank naturally aspirated V8 unit that offers 670 horsepower and doesn’t share a single component with any other Chevy engine. A record-setting achievement within itself and not dependent on turbocharging, this engine raucously delivers on a promise of supreme power potential.

Light Years Beyond Ample Acceleration:

Thanks to this engine’s well-engineered design and astonishing stats, it brings 670 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This 5.5-liter V8 can propel the Corvette from 0 to 60 in just 2.6 seconds, situating it placidly and boisterously among industry-leading greats such as the Ferrari F8 Tributo, the Huracan Evo, and the Audi R8.

The Champion’s Flexibility of Customizable Stature:

Even though it is already a class-leading and trend-setting model in all ways, the 2023 Z06 also offers many options to make it all your own. You can choose the standard coupe or the adventurous convertible style. The ZO7 package comes with carbon ceramic brakes and stylish carbon fiber wheels, along with various color and stripe choices and the brand-new Adrenaline Red interior.

The Valiant and Sunset-Bound V8’s Roar:

The way things are changing, an exhaust note that truly means business is going to command power and rightful attention no matter where it goes. Manufacturers are indeed attempting to emulate the sound of the glorious exhaust with electronic means, but the new Z06 sources the symphony from the naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8. The Z06’s passing will instantly alert anyone that it is the best in all categories. This is any track hound’s dream!

2023 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban Deliver Dynamic Pair With Optional Duramax Diesel

2023 Chevy Suburban

When the Autoblog staff set out to review the 2023 Chevy Suburban and Tahoe, they were prepared to closely check out all the amazing features and engine stats that make this dynamic pair of large size family haulers here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis so popular. The optional Duramax diesel provides the same amount of torque as the sensational 6.2-liter V8, and has the rock-solid reputation as still offering up a very quiet ride for a diesel counterpart.

Adaptive cruise control is now available as standard on the High-Country trim for this exciting pair of heavy haulers, while both the Premier and High Country will now see the availability of the Super Cruise hands-free driving technology. The Chevy Tahoe and Suburban are both now getting an interior that's completely different from the Silverado, and every model but the base Tahoe 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system runs on Android automotive software. The system does an excellent job of integrating Google’s complete carry-on luggage quite well. You can also offer a pair of 12.6-inch screens mounted on the headrests to ideally entertain the rear passengers during the trip.

After they both were completely redesigned two years ago, both titles gained some extra length as well as the smooth-riding independent rear suspension. The pair now both have the same amount of third-row space that are both just a bit smaller than their competitors waiting to pounce, Ford and Jeep. Behind the third-row seats, the Tahoe has 25.5 cubic feet of space, while the Suburban impresses with 41.5 cubic feet.

2023 Chevy Tahoe

These full-size SUVs have long been the perfect choice for growing families and businesses that wanted nothing but the best for transportation. Now they can choose from three capable and class-leading engines. The base engine is a naturally aspirated 5.3-liter V8 cranking out 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and offering the option of either rear wheel or 4-wheel drive. Regardless of which caliber of engine you choose, the Tahoe and Suburban both net 15 mpg city, 20 mpg highway, and 17 mpg combined.

What many diehard car fans and admirers of XXL SUVs and trucks can’t help but love is the naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 poised under the hood of the Z71, RST, Premier, and High Country. When this engine was situated inside of a 2019 Chevy Silverado, it was named to Ward’s “10 best engines list” and employs industry-leading Dynamic Fuel Management to cut down on gas-guzzling without sacrificing any of its stellar performance. Using as few as two cylinders to properly propel the full-size pickup down the highway, it’s a true beast meeting every demand you’ll have in these two awesome vehicles as well.

Another unique additive to these full-size SUVs is the 3.0-liter inline-six, which doles out 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, nailing down stellar EPA gas ratings at 21 mpg city, 28 mpg highway, and 24 mpg combined. One of the most important traits that buyers inquire about regarding trucks is the towing capacity, as knowing just how much you can pull can make or break your next camping adventure or spontaneous haul: these two have a towing capacity of between 7,500 and 8,500 lbs depending on body style, engine, and drivetrain.

2022 Chevy Trailblazer: The Ideal Crossover for the Cutting-Edge Young Adult

2022 Chevy Trailblazer

With customers getting ready for back-to-school season, many are looking for a vehicle that is perfect for every family member here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis. After investigating every crucial fine detail of each model, many look to a crossover SUV. Those of us that have been driving for years may expect a lot from a car and rely on a diverse performance result and assurance that the “little and large extras” are there to offer up excitement during every drive.

Some younger individuals are looking for the vehicle that will safely get them to their illustrious (and trendy!) point while enabling them to have a bit of money left over for tablets, phones, and “whatever that new brand of cool shoes is this week”! The 2022 Chevy Trailblazer was reported by Motor Biscuit as being “perfect for the younger driver” not just for its lower price, but its predictable reliability, great fuel economy, and segment-leading safety.

The writer for this review claimed that the Trailblazer experience reminded them of “the very accessible models that need the windows rolled down, a loud stereo, and enough room for friends”. The Trailblazer also provides plenty of enjoyment for spurts of freedom between finals and soccer practice. The 2022 Trailblazer received a Top Safety Pick Plus from the IIHS and comes with forward collision warning and city speed automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection as standard. An optional package can also provide extra high-tech protection in the form of blind spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning, both essential for any generation with good intentions that can still be prone to distraction!

Locating an inexpensive car or crossover SUV is just about impossible in the current market, and the prices of used cars have risen at a quite alarming pace. To illustrate how practical and useful the Trailblazer is, writer Peter Corn embarked on a 200-mile round trip from the Big Apple to the Adirondack Mountains. He immediately noticed the uniquely modern style fit for any hip-and-young individual behind the wheel, and the practicality of the dash that provides everything laid out right where you’d expect and need it. The power source is the 155-hp 1.3-liter turbocharged engine, which we can wholeheartedly guarantee is thoroughly approved for an antsy parent.

The 2022 Trailblazer bears the achievement that will warrant it worthy for many right now with its EPA mileage rating, which is a combined 27 mpg. Buying your teen’s first car is a decision that you want to put a good deal of time and research towards, and we are confident that the Trailblazer will assure a healthy amount of focus on the uneventful arrival for the journey at hand. As the backpacks are packed and the class schedules are closely looked at, we agree that it may be time to leave the remarkable and menacing drag strip-ready models on the sidelines for just a few more responsible years!

2023 Chevy Colorado LT and WT Lead Lineup’s Pack with Premium Hauling Tech and Outstanding Engine Offerings

2023 Chevy Colorado Line-Up

As the sights and sounds of summer that we at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis look forward to all year are waning down and the back-to-school supply purchases are on everyone’s to-do list, many of our customers are starting their search for a replacement truck or their first brand-new one! Look no further than the officially announced 2023 Chevy Colorado, with production expected to begin early next year starting with the LT and WT trim levels.

Each 2023 Chevy Colorado trim model will feature the same engine with different output levels on each model. The LT and WT trims offer up the 2.7-liter Turbo engine, providing 237 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque. There is also the choice of upgrading to the 2.7-liter Turbo Plus engine, putting out 310 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. This midsize marvel sees a max trailering ability of 3,500 lbs, increasing to 7,700 lbs for the Turbo and Turbo Plus engines.

The 2023 Colorado will come equipped with up to 10 camera views, providing more ways to keep an eye on your moving or stationary rig than any of the competing models. These can be accessed from the incredibly responsive 11.3-inch infotainment screen inside the cab, allowing you to have the ultimate in high-tech assistance with large loads and security when patches of bad weather appear.

Hitch view, hitch guidance, and the included trailering app all make each stage of the hauling game that much simpler. Standard for the WT trim are up to 17 tie-downs ready to go in the bed. There are also four stake pockets as well as multiple in-bed pockets for added storage, with grooves in the bed wall to make bikes and motorcycles fair game as recreational carry-on. Other additions that make things easier for camping, contracting, and otherwise enjoying the outdoors are a 110-volt power outlet, spray-in bed liner, and remote tailgate.

We love that the redesign for the current model focuses on adding modern conveniences, an expansion of off-road trim levels, and an overall sizable boost in capability. The new chassis stretches the wheelbase by 3.1 inches compared to the outgoing short bed crew cab, and each trim now comes with a comprehensive suite of active safety features. Official production begins in the first half of 2023 here in Wentzville, Mo. Stay updated on any feature changes and exciting news regarding this massively-popular truck here on the blog!

Just as Modern Folklore Would Suggest: Buyers Favor Legendary Corvette Dressed in Red

The famed and much-loved Chevy Corvette is now entering the 2023 model year, and all the finer points about pricing and trim details were released earlier this month! The National Corvette Museum gave the final production data for the 2022 model, and their findings currently report a grand total of 25,831 of the Corvettes were produced last year. 52% of those were coupes and the other 47.9% are those whose owners opted to blissfully have the top down in the form of a convertible.

Not surprising to many die-hard fans and hardcore ‘Vette enthusiasts, torch red was the most popular color choice for 2022, with Arctic white coming in second and hypersonic Gray respectively in third. Even though red cars can draw a bit more unwanted attention from those who brandish the speed radar gun, waiting to instill law and order on Missouri Roads, it’s simply way too striking to pass up!

As we looked over statistics here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis to pinpoint other very popular attributes of this amazing and always-on-the-fast-side vehicle, they also showed that the most popular performance package was the Z51, which was used on 68.6 percent of all produced cars. Next year’s model is available in 12 exterior colors, with the Corvette Convertible boasting the same. 8 of these colors come as standard if you wish, and 4 are available at an extra cost.

For 70 years, the Corvette has held the title of America’s premier sports car, and its recent switch to a mid-engined layout perfectly follows through on this Detroit icon's leap forward to compete against supercars such as Lamborghini and Ferrari. Production of this inaugural mid-engined marvel will begin this summer, and it has not been officially announced yet when the track-tuned and land-speed record-class version of the C8 will be available on supportive and eager lots like ours here at Jim Butler.

The Z06 Package is another feature-enhancing addition to the Corvette that adds fine-tuned changes with suspension, aero packages, engine upgrades, and more aggressive styling elements. With the engine now situated behind the driver, the 2023 Corvette Z06 comes with a bespoke 5.5-liter V8 that has the amazing exhaust note that no model before it has ever been able to come close to.

The twin-cam dry-sump LT6 can spin up to a redline of 8600 rpm and cranks out a brutish and beyond noteworthy 670 horsepower. Paired with a paddle-shifted, 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle gearbox, getting up to 60 mph takes just 2.6 seconds. It’s also equipped  with our standard 60,000-mile powertrain warranty.

No matter what color you choose for your new Corvette, this iconic and always-memorable model is on track to effortlessly keep its fan base, and enthusiastically generate new followers at every adrenaline-laced new milestone!

Jim Butler Auto Group President Brad Sowers Quoted by Yahoo! About Chevy’s Competition-Crushing Electric Blazer

New releases, award-winning models, thrilling horsepower and torque reports, and much more are streaming across our screens every day as the industry gets back to normal. The latest in these developments is the electric Chevy Blazer SUV.

This all-new EV is going to be vital to Chevrolet’s efforts to rival Tesla in the U.S. EV market. Yahoo! caught up with Jim Butler Auto Group President Brad Sowers for an expert opinion on the new electric Blazer and how it would perform in the most crowded segment in the market right now.

“People are very excited about not just the Blazer, but the Equinox,” Sowers said. He also said that the Midwest region isn’t always the first place to adopt new trends and technology, but these models coming soon will prove just how excellent and feature-rich the future will be.

Over the next few years, the segment will define the true champions. The electric SUV market in the United States is projected to more than double in size over the next four years, and there could be more than 90 models all vying for the attention and loyalty of those hitting the road with their hard-earned paychecks. Tesla's Model Y is the best-selling electric SUV currently, and Chevrolet hopes to compete with the Blazer and Equinox.

GM chief executive Mary Barra has the lofty goal of delivering 400,000 brand new electric vehicles in North America over the next two years. With the delay due to the pandemic, production of some newer EV models has just begun. This is the first time that the Super Sport badges will join forces with an electric vehicle from Chevy, and it is expected to ride on GM’s Ultium platform, which is what is found underneath the Cadillac Lyriq and GMC’s Hummer line.

All of us here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis are eagerly waiting to check out the all-electric Blazer’s Camaro-inspired styling, as well as its sensational planet-saving manners and practicality!
