The J.D. Power Awards Just Keep Rolling In

Customers have known for years that Chevrolet cars and trucks are the most well-built vehicles available, so it's no surprise that others have been singing Chevy's song lately, too.

In the 2014 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study, the Chevrolet Malibu, Suburban (tie) and Silverado HD ranked highest in the Midsize Car, Large SUV and Large Heavy Duty Pickup segments. This isn't the Silverado HD's first rodeo, though; it's the second year in a row that this beauty leads in its segment.

The kudos don't stop there. The Camaro in the Midsize Sporty category, Equinox in Compact SUV and Tahoe in Large SUV all finished in the top three of their respective segments.

Obviously, Chevrolet is doing something right by its customers, as the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study is based on responses from more than 86,000 purchasers and lessees of new 2014 model year vehicles surveyed at 90 days of ownership.

“Our primary focus at Chevrolet is on the customer, and building quality products is top priority for keeping that focus,” said Brian Sweeney, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet. “Taking high honors in quality studies like this is great reinforcement to show we are doing just that.”
